One-off, no retainer

A written PPC audit of your Manchester account

£150, eight sections, 5 working days.

The PPC audit costs £150 excluding VAT and arrives as a written report within 5 working days of read-only access being granted. It covers eight things in order: ninety days of search terms, the keywords and negatives, the conversion actions, the location settings borough by borough, the bid strategy and budget, the ads and assets, the landing page on a phone, and a numbered change list. It is for a Greater Manchester business that is already spending and wants to know where the money goes before changing anything or anyone. If you go on to a monthly plan, the £150 comes off the £199 setup.

The eight sections

What a real audit contains, whether or not you buy ours

Use this as the checklist for any audit anyone offers you. An audit that skips the search terms or the location report has not looked at where a Manchester account loses money.

  1. 1

    Search terms, ninety days

Every search that spent money, sorted by cost, with the ones that could never have bought marked and totalled. This is where most Manchester accounts lose the most: students, job seekers, courses, and postcodes in Liverpool or Leeds.

  2. 2

    Keywords, match types, negatives

Whether phrase and exact are doing the work, whether broad match has the conversion data and the negative list it needs to be safe, and whether the negative lists are shared across campaigns or copied inconsistently.

  3. 3

    Conversion actions

What each action counts, where it fires, whether it fires twice, whether calls are counted and at what length, and which actions are primary. Smart Bidding learns from these, so a wrong one teaches the wrong lesson every day.

  4. 4

    Location, borough by borough

Presence or interest, the radius, and a table of where the money went against where the customers are. The section that matters most in a city with ten boroughs and a business that serves three.

  5. 5

    Bid strategy and budget

Whether the strategy has enough conversions to behave, where impression share is lost and to what, whether the daily budget caps the campaign by lunchtime, and whether budget is sitting in campaigns that produce nothing.

  6. 6

    Ads and assets

Ad strength, pinned headlines, whether the ad names the search, and which assets are missing: sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets, the call asset, the location asset linked to the Business Profile.

  7. 7

The landing page on a phone

Speed measured live, the form tested, the phone number checked, and the match between what the ad promised and what the page says. Landing page experience is a third of Quality Score.

  8. 8

    The change list

Everything above turned into a numbered list in the order we would do it, with the setting, the campaign, and the effect we expect from each. Written so that you or anyone else can apply it.

How it is written

A report you can argue with

Every finding names the campaign, the setting and the number, so you can open the account and see the same thing. Where we say a search term wasted money, the term is quoted; where we say the radius reaches Wigan and you serve Stockport, the location report is pasted in. Nothing is described as “suboptimal”.

The first paragraph is the verdict: how much of the last ninety days' spend went on searches that could not have bought, and the three changes that would have saved most of it. If the account is in good order it says that instead, and the fee bought you the knowledge.

Why it is not free

Because a free audit is a sales meeting

Every agency we studied offers a free audit, and almost every one of them delivers it as a call in which the findings are the reason to sign. Ours is a document with a price, written to be handed to anyone, including the agency that built the account. That is why it is worth £150 and why the free version on this site is deliberately smaller: six tests and a page, so you can decide whether the full report is worth paying for.

If you would rather see the smaller version first, the free check takes 72 hours and needs only your customer ID.

What happens

From the form to the report

  1. Day 0

You send the customer ID on the quote form and choose the audit. We reply with the access request and an invoice for the fee.

  2. Day 1

Access granted. The ninety-day search terms, the conversion actions and the location report are exported before anything else, so the numbers are fixed at that date.

  3. Days 2 to 4

The eight sections are written in order. The landing page is measured on a phone on three separate days, because speed varies and one reading lies.

  4. Day 5

The report arrives by email as a PDF, with the change list as its own page. A call to walk through it is offered, not required.

  5. After

If you go on to a monthly plan the £150 is credited against the £199 setup. If you do not, the report is yours and the access is removed.

Questions about the audit

What does the PPC audit cost, and what do I get?

£150, excluding VAT, for a written report in 5 working days covering every campaign, every conversion action, the location settings borough by borough, the bid strategy, the ads and assets, the landing page on a phone, and a change list in the order we would make it. If you go on to a monthly plan the £150 comes off the £199 setup.

Why pay for an audit when the check is free?

The free 72-hour check is six tests and a one-page note. The audit opens everything, including the parts the check leaves closed: Shopping feeds, Performance Max asset groups, the bid strategy, the full location report and every ad. It is for a business that wants the whole picture before it decides anything.

Can my current agency use it?

Yes, and that is a fair use of it. The change list is written so that whoever manages the account can apply it, and it names the setting and the campaign each time. Several audits will go to the agency that built the account, and that is fine by us.

Do you need access to the account?

Read-only access through a manager-account request you approve, plus access to the analytics property if there is one and a look at the landing pages. Nothing is changed. You can remove the access the day the report arrives.

How does the audit treat location settings for Greater Manchester?

As its own section, because a city account loses more to geography than a rural one. It reports where the spend went by borough and by distance, whether the setting is presence or interest, whether the radius reaches places you do not serve, and what a tighter map would have saved on the last ninety days of data.

What if the audit finds the account is in good order?

Then the report says so, in the first paragraph, and the change list is short. That happens, and it is worth the fee to know it. We do not manufacture findings to justify a monthly plan.

Do I have to be in Manchester?

No. The audit is a document, produced from Wrexham, and the account is the same wherever the business sits. A call to walk through it is included if you want one, and a visit by appointment is possible because the city is about an hour away.

What does the audit not include?

New ad copy, a rebuilt campaign structure or a new landing page: those are setup work, and the audit tells you whether they are needed. It also does not include Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok accounts, which are different auctions.

Send the customer ID. The access request and the invoice come back the same day.

£150, 5 working days, eight sections, a change list anyone can apply. Credited against setup if you go on to a monthly plan.
